Writing & Other Media
From Games to Radio to Film - I've done it all! Listed below are a hefty number of examples.
But wait, Potential Employers, there's more!
Because guess what? Additional portfolio materials are indeed available upon request!
Game Development
Though I spent the majority of my creative development pursuing fine art, television, and broadcasting, I would eventually pivot to video games. What was the catalyst for said pivot, you ask? Well, after graduating college in 2020, some, uhhhh... stuff happened on a global scale which would result in scarce employment opportunities - and LOTS of free time on my hands. It was then that my friend Ian Ring, an MFA student enrolled in LCAD's game design program, would request my assistance writing his thesis project, a vertical slice titled The Friend-Ship. I had a blast working on this game. From there, Ian and I would co-found an indie studio, Purple Car, and release our first title, Up Late with Phil Crocker, in 2021, with another soon-to-be-announced project currently in the works!
Purple Car Games

Purple Car is an indie development studio helmed by myself, Ian Ring, and Rohan Teredesai. Along with a team of several other exceptionally talented individuals, we strive to develop funny, engaging, and artistically-driven titles.

Radio & Podcasting
In 2018, I joined my college radio station, KUCI, which called the 88.9 FM frequency home through much of the greater Orange County area. There I hosted a weekly variety talk show titled Half Past Five, wherein I interviewed a panoply of guests from various disciplines and levels of the arts and entertainment. I also prided myself on writing, recording, and producing lengthy radio plays and sketches that were churned out on a near-weekly basis. Toward the end of my senior year, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, my friend Justin and I co-hosted a weekly talk show titled Socially Distanced, which I worked on in tandem with Half Past Five for several months before ultimately moving over to Socially Distanced full time. Socially Distanced was largely focused on discussions of media and pop culture - games in particular, while also maintaining Half Past Five's radio plays and sketches. Eventually, Justin and I would transition the show to a podcast format, re-titled Listen to the Knobs - a show we recorded for most of 2022.
All three shows are available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and can be listened to below!

Film
On top of everything else, I've also been able to put my name on a number of film projects as writer, director, and occasional actor! Below are a few past works I'm particularly proud of.
Clams on the Half Shell
(2019)

A college project that I am extremely proud of. This film earned me a spot at UCI's Spotlight Student Film Festival in 2019. I was the sole writer on the project, director, editor, and one of the two lead actors.
